1. Purpose
This Digital Goods Compliance Statement outlines how Bites Labs Inc. ("Bites," "we," "us," or "our") supports creators,
rights owners, and distribution partners in meeting applicable digital goods regulations, app store policies, and
payment platform requirements.
2. Business Model
Bites provides a software-as-a-service platform that enables:
7fLive and on-demand streaming of performances, events, and programming.
7fSale of digital tickets, virtual passes, subscriptions, sponsorship activations, and limited digital collectibles.
7fAudience engagement tools including chat, polls, tipping, and commerce overlays.
All digital goods and services delivered through Bites are non-tangible and fulfilled instantly within the app or
through authorized partner platforms.
3. Payment Processing
Bites supports multiple monetization workflows compliant with app store and payment network rules:
7fIn-app purchases: When required by Apple App Store or Google Play policies, transactions initiated on mobile devices utilize
platform-native in-app purchase mechanisms.
7fThird-party processors: For web or hybrid experiences, we integrate PCI-compliant processors (e.g., Stripe) with secure
checkout, fraud protection, and tax calculation.
7fRevenue share: Bites provides creators and rights owners with transparent reporting on gross sales, fees, taxes, and net
payouts.
4. Content Authorization
We require all partners to confirm that they hold the necessary intellectual property rights, distribution approvals, and
public performance licenses for streamed content. Bites reserves the right to request documentation of rights ownership
or licensing agreements prior to enabling monetization features.
5. Refunds and Chargebacks
Bites adheres to applicable consumer protection standards. Refund requests are evaluated based on event cancellation,
material service failure, or duplicate purchases. Transactions processed via Apple and Google follow the respective app
store refund workflows. Chargeback disputes are collaboratively managed with payment processors and creators.
6. Taxes
Where required, Bites calculates and remits sales taxes, VAT, or GST on digital goods based on purchaser location.
Creators may be responsible for additional tax filings in their jurisdictions. Bites provides transaction-level reports
to assist with compliance.
7. Age and Geographic Controls
The Platform includes controls to restrict access to age-gated or territory-limited content. Creators can configure
audience eligibility rules, and Bites may enable geofencing or identity verification for regulatory compliance.
8. Prohibited Goods
Bites forbids the sale of:
7fPhysical goods requiring fulfillment outside the Platform.
7fGambling, wagering, or games of chance that violate local laws.
7fUnauthorized copyrighted material, counterfeit merchandise, or products infringing third-party rights.
7fDigital or physical weapons, illicit substances, or content promoting hate or violence.
Violations may result in suspension, termination, and reporting to relevant authorities.
9. Record Keeping
We maintain transaction logs, payout records, and compliance documentation for a minimum of five (5) years or longer when
required by law. Creators may request copies of their transaction history through the Bites dashboard or by contacting
finance@bitesapp.xyz.
